Responsibilities:
Establish, manage, and continuously improve the PMO framework, covering project governance, delivery standards, and portfolio oversight across system changes (e.g. Automation, AI integration) and non-system process transformation initiatives (e.g. workflow revamps).
Oversee and monitor the project portfolio — tracking progress, dependencies, risks, and benefits realization — and report consolidated status to senior management and key stakeholders.
Lead the PMO to identify inefficiencies in existing processes and drive streamlined operations, reducing costs and minimizing errors through structured delivery disciplines.
Collaborate with stakeholders within the operations team and across functional teams to gather requirements and analyze business needs, ensuring alignment with IT teams on system solution delivery.
Define and enforce PMO standards for UAT testing and quality assurance, ensuring successful adoption and consistent delivery quality across projects.
Act as the focal point for Compliance/Risk/Audit functions — ensure projects and operational activities meet compliance and quality standards through sample checks, inspections, and the implementation of appropriate controls.
Drive cultural change and PMO maturity across Operations Centres/Departments to foster continuous improvement; provide training and support to end-users adapting to new processes, technologies, or policies.
Coach and develop project teams and PMO staff, building a strong delivery capability and promoting best-practice project management across the organization.
Requirements:
Degree holder in Business, Banking & Finance, Computer Science, IT, or a relevant discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience in bank operations, internal control, business analysis, or process improvement, with at least 5 years managing projects — particularly process improvement, system changes, or AI automation initiatives; prior PMO experience is highly preferred.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, develop talent, and drive a project delivery culture.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify actionable improvements and translate them into structured project plans.
