Our Client:
The job holder will be leading a team of life insurance underwriters to evaluate risks, make policy decisions, and ensure fast, accurate, and compliant underwriting processes.
The incumbent will be reporting to department head directly.
Job Descriptions:
- Manage and train underwriters to maintain high standards.
- Review life insurance applications, assessing medical, financial, and lifestyle risks.
- Ensure underwriting follows company rules and legal requirements.
- Improve processes to speed up approvals without increasing risk.
- Work with sales, actuarial, and claims teams to support business goals.
- Use data to track performance and suggest improvements.
- Handle complex cases and support agents/policyholders
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in insurance or related discipline
- 7+ years in life underwriting, with 2+ years in leadership.
- Strong knowledge of medical/financial risk assessment.
- Good with data and underwriting software, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Superb command in verbal and written English and Chinese.
