Our client is looking for an AML professional to join our Operations Risk team. In this role, you will develop and implement AML procedures, oversee quality control, and enhance training across our insurance operations. You will play a key part in ensuring regulatory compliance and reducing operational risk.
Job Description:
- Develop and maintain AML Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for insurance operations.
- Work with business units to ensure AML procedures are properly integrated and followed.
- Set up a quality review program to assess the effectiveness of Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) alerts and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processes.
- Identify gaps, improve detection capabilities, and support ongoing enhancements to the AML framework.
- Design and deliver AML training programs for operational staff, focusing on their day-to-day responsibilities.
- Promote a strong compliance culture across the Operations team.
- Coordinate with internal teams to respond to regulatory enquiries, compliance reviews, and audit requests.
- Provide practical guidance on AML compliance during system upgrades or process changes.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of AML compliance experience in financial institutions (insurance background preferred).
- Strong knowledge of AML regulations, industry standards, FATCA, and CRS.
- Experience in regulatory inspections or remediation projects is an advantage.
- CAMS or other AML certification is a plus.
- Proven ability to develop AML procedures and deliver training.
- Comfortable with management reporting and data analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Able to work across teams and lead initiatives effectively.
- Less experience will be considered as Manager.
