Job Description:
- Oversee and manage the GBRS team to achieve business targets and departmental goals
- Monitor operational functions under the guidance of the Head of Marketing
- Explore business opportunities through international brokers and reinsurance partners
- Maintain strong and long-term relationships with all business sources
Review, analyze, and monitor overall underwriting results to identify trends and implement strategic changes
- Responsible for reviewing existing products and providing support and assistance in enhancing and developing product offerings to meet client needs
- Monitor underwriting performance and results, ensuring a high degree of underwriting integrity to achieve targets
- Maintain renewal ratios by utilizing the Company’s Business Guidelines and Delegated Authority Limits to fulfill broker and client satisfaction
- Responsible for team management to ensure the smooth running of all business, including reinsurance operations
- Lead, coach, and develop team members through delegation of responsibilities and staff empowerment
- Monitor and manage the end-to-end policy issuance process to ensure it is completed within the agreed timeframe
- Assist and follow up on premium collections from intermediaries with long outstanding premiums to reduce bad debts and risks
Job Requirements:
- Passed IIQE Paper 1 & 2 or holder of ANZIIF (Senior Associate) or equivalent
- Proven track record in dealing with global brokers and reinsurance partners
- Good knowledge of multi-class commercial line business
- Strong technical skills in general insurance
- Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
- Demonstrate a professional and courteous attitude with brokers and reinsurance partners
- A good team player with strong communication and analytical skills
