A top-tier multinational insurer with a strong presence in insurance business within APAC region. To cope with their business expansion, they are looking for a Senior Manager to support and enhancing operational and information risk management of the organization.

The incumbent will be reporting to Chief Risk Officer directly.

 

Job Description:

  • Develop, manage and monitor ORM for IRM, CSI and BCM to support corporate strategy and identify risk areas in line with Boards requirement.
  • Manage and raising of operational risk awareness to maintain its risk framework according to corporate risk management requirements.
  • Lead the preparation of risk reports to senior management, Boards, Group and Regulators and identify means to enhance risk reporting.
  • Implement the Enterprise Risk Management Policy and provide support to the 1st line when necessary.
  • Capturing operational loss and risk data for corporate governance.
  • Follow-up actions taken by business to address and resolve operational risk issue.
  • Support in the implementation of Operational Risk policy and procedures.
  • Development of ORM methodology and processes for RCSA certification, lead the implementation and oversee and validate results.
  • Assist in training and other initiatives on ORM

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in business or accounting with minimum 10 years of working experience in Risk, Audit or compliance in financial institutions.
  • Sound knowledge of operational process and control typical of life insurance and eCommerce players.
  • Strong understanding of operational and information risk management practice and methodologies relevant to the role.
  • Good understanding of general insurance and pension business and its regulations.
  • Previous experience with SOX 404 projects
  • Proactive with Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong report writing skills and proven ability to drive changes, influence senior stakeholders and resolve gaps and conflicts
  • Proficiency in MS Office in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Less experience will be considered as Manager.
