Our client, a leading bank, is looking for Head of Trade Services (Bank)join their credit team to cope with the bank’s expansion.
Job Description:
- Manage all aspects of remittance and treasury operations encompassing inward and outward remittance, settlement operations for various treasury products, managing over 40 staff
- Liaise with business, marketing, control and risk units for new product development and product enhancements, such as cash management and remittance products and services for both retail and corporate customers
- Manage process improvement projects to streamline work flows and procedures e.g. straight through processing, digital banking
- Manage system changes involving design, testing and implementation e.g. cash management systems
- Exercise controls to comply with internal and HKMA requirements
- Act as Remittance Product Manager and work with business and marketing teams to design and develop competitive products and services
- Manage treasury settlement operations for treasury products e.g. bonds, futures
- Exercise operational controls over front office treasury activities
- Liaise with regulators, auditors and compliance staff on latest regulatory, control and compliance requirements
- Manage enquiries from over the counter customers and branch staff on remittance transactions
- Manage and liaise with offshore processing hub for service quality monitoring and issue resolution
Job Requirements:
- University degree/Higher Diploma in Business Administration with minimum 15 years in remittance and treasury settlement operations, with at least 5 years at senior manager/supervisor level
- Strong knowledge of all aspects of local and overseas remittance, treasury settlement operations and practices
- In-depth knowledge of international treasury and funds settlement practices as well as local practices e.g. RTGS, Swift, HKMA operations
- Strong service quality, control and process improvement skills
- Excellent leadership quality on process, people and service excellence
- Excellent communications and presentation skills at all levels of the organization up to chief executive and board level
- Good knowledge of AML requirements applicable to remittance operations
